Per la tredicesima edizione della premiazione, che si terrà a Londra questo 12 Giugno, dei vincitori d’eccezione: i Black Sabbath. Reduci – nella loro formazione originale con 3/4 dei fondatori – dall’imponente tour The End che sembrerebbe aver messo la parola fine alla loro strepitosa carriera, i Black Sabbath verranno quindi nominati Metal Golden Gods.
Il titolo si addice bene a quella che è universalmente riconosciuta come la più importante metal band della storia, nonché indicata come pioniere del genere.
Metal Hammer Golden Gods
I Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards sono dei premi conferiti dalla prestigiosa rivista mensile inglese Metal Hammer. Una vera e propria istituzione nel mondo dell’Heavy Metal.
Il premio fu creato da Chris Ingham, John O’Sullivan e Dave Bianchi. La cerimonia si svolse la prima volta nel 2003, al Kentish Town Forum.
